Microsoft has introduced an AI Web Design Tool called Sketch 2 Code which converts hand-drawn webpage mockup into functional HTML markup.

Over the years, web page building apps allow users to transfer predefined and custom objects to digital workspaces to generate working web code.

Microsoft is eager to attract customers towards its AI-oriented Azure services and to lean on its data processing power. The web designer will keep the business keyboard for pencils, and instead of relying on some apps, the clever code will be replaced by a doodle designer.

Tara Shankar Jana, Senior Product Manager at Microsoft AI said in an interview that "Once you draw the wireframes on a whiteboard, you can take a picture using the web app and then send it to the web app AI. AI service runs those images against the prebuilt AI model and then creates an HTML codebase after the resulting app".

The generated code then will be available in three formats HTML, XAML, and UWP.
