Google on Monday announced that they are using a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to deal with the online propaganda of Child Sexual Abuse. Google said that our Cutting-Edge AI technology uses deep Neural Networks for image processing to detect and identify (CSAM) online.

Based on the deep Neural Networks, the new tool will be made available for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other industry partners including technical companies.

Google engineering lead Nikola Todorovic and product manager Abhi Chaudhuri have written in the company's official blog post that using the internet as a means of spreading sexually exploiting material is the worst misbehavior. Two Google Engineers said that this new AI technology will help service providers, NGOs, and other technology firms to improve the accuracy and capacity of CSAM identification and reduce the contact of human reviewers for the content.

Rapid identification of new images means that the children who are being sexually exploited are more likely to recognize and preserve them from further misbehavior. "We have already seen that this system can help the reviewer find and can process 800 percent more against (CSAM) content in the same time period."

Many technical companies are now keen to take advantage of AI to explore various types of CSAM material like sexual and abusive comments, and Google's announcement represents the new commitment to fight against online CSAM content by sharing latest advanced technology.

Google is also collaborating with some of its partners to take action against CSAM Online, including UK-based charity Internet Watch Foundation, the We Protect Global Alliance, the Technology Coalition and other NGO organizations.
