James Murdoch has not refused for the post of chairman, nor did he discuss it with any other directors.
According to new york times report, Many Tesla directors have suggested that the board person of the electric car maker and CEO of Fox Inc, James Murdoch will succeed as a chairman in place of Elon Musk.

The board said that there was no involvement in the "serious" discussion about being the chairman of the board.

Elon Musk had frightened to resign if the board demands Musk and the company involved in an agreement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

However, the next day, Tesla's lawyers were seeking for a second chance from SEC, this time with the "bitterness approval" of Elon Musk, the document said.
