In China, Xiaomi's sub-brand MIJIA has released an Air Quality Detector as part of its Smart Home ecosystem. The price of thus MIJIA Air Quality Detector is about RMB 399 (around 4,200 Rs) , and is going on sale in China from today. 

The MIJIA Air Quality Detector is included in the complete lineup of Smart Air Pollution Detection and Control Devices which has been launched in Xiaomi.

MIJIA air quality detector comes with five different types of detection of air pollution. These include PM 2.5, TVOC, carbon dioxide, temperature and humidity. It also makes thus device not only the air pollution detector but also a temperature and humidity detector.

In order to expand these meanings, PM 2.5 is a very recent scale that has been developed to measure atmospheric particle matter in which the diameter is less than 2.5 micrometres. These particles are very small and can only be viewed using an electron telescope.

On the other hand, TVOCs is a short form of total volatile organic compounds, which involves a large group of organic chemical compounds including natural gas. Natural gas, Benzene and such other substances can also be called volatile organic compounds or VOC.

The MIJIA Air Quality Detector features a 3.97-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 × 800 pixels.
